“Light Stones” is an innovative industrial design and contemporary art project to illuminate in a new way any natural setting as parks, gardens, swimming-pools, and any urban place as historical, houses, hotels, factories. Moreover, it establishes a new binding between nature and technology elevating aesthetic and functional social life qualities. For the first time natural shapes and materials as stones, rocks, marbles and granites of any type have become enlightened entities, through a fine, technological and conceptual work, both for external and internal usage, realized in series and, contemporary, unique pieces as sculptures. Thanks to the complex relationships of Exchange between art and industry, beyond their borders, in the absolute idea of their possible mixture: these new hybrid light sculptures have been created with this aim. They can include various electric and electronical brightin latest parts, keeping intact the primordial natural stone shapes. By night, when they are on, they play in an original way the same functions of serie industrial products we can find on the market: neon, leds, lights, lamps. By day, they are off and integrate the landscape fascinating with natural shapes and materials of which they are made. Nature marries both art and technological production. An unfinished dream of Novecento realized deleting borders which separate
“How much thick is the dividing line between a work of contemporary art from a design object? The disciplines from which arise can be so close as to be nourished in an osmotic way, through an imperceptible membrane”.
